As I sat in silence
marinating deeply in contemplation
struck by a whiplash of thoughts
a desperate measure to evade the past.
Fighting pain, a futile battle
struggling against the torrent of beliefs
shedding away the baggage of emotions
that weigh heavily in my heart.
Making peace with solitude
surrendering to the serene abode
arriving at a place of stillness
confiding in the beauty within.
Swimming toward the tower
a fountain of treasure contained inside
a place of bliss and serenity
where no thoughts abound.
Freedom we seek
cannot be taught
a leap of faith it’s ask
a forever ‘sukūn’ in eternity.
