What if the things we spend our lives searching for are not as far beyond our reach as we believe?
L. Frank Baum’s classic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, was written for children and published in 1900. Revisiting this book was a pleasure, but also a reminder reminder of why certain stories deserve to be read more than once. As we evolve, so do our perspectives. Our experiences reshape our undersandng, allowing us to discover meaning where previously there was none.
In a world distorted by atrocities and the suppression of independent thought, feels significant. Revisiting such stories offers a much needed antidote, a way to reclaim our power, question our assumptions and looking beyond the cacophomny surrounding us.
Thought written for children, this narrative has something to say to us as adults that remains just as relevant today.
Have you ever revisited your favourite childhood book and discovered something you had completely missed the first time?
