Poetry that feels like a calling – silently evoking a longing for complete surrender to the Ultimate Consciousness that governs all, the sentient and the insentient alike, has unobtrusively drawn my mind, for quite some time now, towards questioning the very nature of my existence.
Most of my poetry has been deeply inspired by Sufism, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads. These timeless spiritual traditions have profoundly shaped my inner journey, guiding me to towards expressing themes of mysticism, self-realisation, and philosophy through the sheer beauty of words and verse.
Fanā is a poem born from silence, and inward contemplation of the self, surrender, and the search for what lies beyond the ego. Writing it felt deeply natural and organic. What began with a reflection gradually unfolded into an expansive poem, one that I will be sharing as a three-part series.
