words falter in your presence
overwhelmed by your eloquence and grace
smitten by you, your persona
a mere shadow of the illumined shimmer you radiate
like a drug, you course through my veins.
Waited have I, to express my emotions
love bottled up in a potion, an opportune time
to voice my notions, for doubts sail through my mind
better late than never
can’t bear to lose you from my life.
Your thoughts beseech me, I languish in pain
never have I felt this ache, so bittersweet that it hurts
for I know not what to do, embroiled am I by this soliloquy
conquered have I the demons within
I muster up the courage.
Nothing can hinder these feelings from flowing
how long must I endure this distance, this burden?
like sunshine you walked into my life
like a ray of light piercing the darkness
you illuminated my life.
Unparalleled, unforsaken, an enigma for lonely hearts
I wait patiently to hold you in my arms
with you by my side, what fear can’t I forsake?
